Lesson Plans
Each lesson is designed to be undertaken at a WWT centre or at a wetland near your school. The plans have clear learning outcomes, step-by-step instructions, background information, downloadable pupil activities, ideas for follow-up, and links to the National Curriculum.
From this page, you can also link to a wealth of factfiles and datasets with information and data to support the lesson plans. Elsewhere on the site are games for pupils in the Kid’s Zone.
Our centres
The nine UK WWT wetland centres have extensive areas of spectacular, protected wetlands. Most centres also have captive collections of threatened wildfowl in naturalistic surroundings.
All WWT centres have professional education staff offering a full range of curriculum-linked learning programmes across all Key Stages and beyond to A level and the tertiary sector.
