'WWT's greatest asset is its staff. Rarely will you meet such a committed group of people'
The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) has grown considerably since its establishment in 1946 at Slimbridge in Gloucestershire. In the early days of the organisation, our founder, Sir Peter Scott, instilled a family atmosphere among the staff. This family feel still remains amongst the 340 permanent full time and part time staff with first name terms the norm throughout.
WWT has always attracted very high calibre staff, because people know that we are involved in very important and interesting work. In return for their commitment we offer employees the opportunity to develop their careers at WWT. Staff training and development is crucial to any organisation's success. "On the job" training is continuous, and courses are undertaken by staff whenever necessary and affordable.
We believe that any member of WWT staff could aspire to the highest level within the organisation.
