Hi, my name is Andy Wooldridge and I am the Centre Manager at WWT Martin Mere.
I started at Martin Mere when I was a volunteer at the age of 16 in 1973, when the land was first purchased. I worked alongside Sir Peter Scott, Peter Gladstone, Ronnie Barker and Janet Kear to eventually become Grounds Manager in 1983 and Centre Manager in 2008.
My whole life has been dedicated to WWT and I have started this blog to answer any queries you may have and to tell you about the work that I do and how the Centre is developing. I hope that you will find the information useful and I look forward to seeing your comments.
