National Wetland Centre Wales - A Great Day Out
Stretching over 450 acres on the Burry Inlet, this magnificent mosaic of lakes, pools and lagoons is home to countless wild species as diverse as dragonflies and Little Egrets. Plus over 650 of some of the world’s most spectacular ducks, geese, swans and flamingos, many so tame they feed from the hand.
Families can have hours of fun in the indoor, interactive Millennium Discovery Centre and children can crawl and slide through the unique tunnels of Water Vole City.
Or visitors can simply relax in the comfort of the Estuary Café and enjoy delicious home cooked food, panoramic views and amazing wildlife.
The Canoe Safari

During spring and summer months visitors can explore previously inaccessible watery expanses, rich in native plant species and wildlife, on our Canoe Safari. Pick up a paddle and step into a canoe for a wonderful wetland adventure.
The Canoe Safari is open every day (11am - 4pm) throughout local school holidays and on weekends during term time between Easter and the end of September.
The Canoe Safari is suitable for children aged 5 and over and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and adult in the canoe.
The Bike Trail

The centre has a fleet of 22 bikes, including toddler trailers and a tandem, which visitors can hop aboard to explore the paths weaving through the Millennium Wetlands. Stop off at the Heron's Wing Hide or crawl through Water Vole City on your way around the reserve.
The Bike Trail is open every day (10am - 3pm) throughout local school holidays and on weekends during term time between Easter and the end October.
