Why is WWT running this offer?

We’re running this free ticket offer to celebrate World Wetlands Day on Sunday 2 February, and encourage people to ‘Get lost’ in the beautiful sights and sounds of wetlands.

How can I get a free ticket?

Go to the Sign Up page and enter your name and a valid email address. You will be emailed a barcode to show to reception staff on the day of your visit. Tickets are for one person.

Is the offer open to anyone?

The offer is open to anyone who has a valid email address. Free tickets are limited to one person per valid email address.

Why do I need to book a specific day to visit?

We want to make sure everyone gets the most out of their experience with us. By choosing a day to visit within the offer period, our teams can make sure everything is in tip-top shape and the tea is piping hot, to fuel you up for your wetland adventure.

Where can I use my free ticket?

You can use your free ticket at any of our nine WWT wetland centres across the UK. Our tenth site, WWT Steart Marshes, is already free to enter. To make sure your visit is as enjoyable as possible, we're limiting the number of free tickets available per centre.

Can children get a free ticket?

The offer is open to anyone with a valid email address. Children under 4 always go free.

What if I’ve already booked and paid for a visit?

If you’ve already pre-booked a paid visit to one of our sites during the offer period, admissions staff will be able to give you a complimentary ticket to come back for a free visit another day. (Please show your pre-paid ticket to admissions staff to claim the complimentary ticket).

Can I claim the free ticket offer on arrival?

Yes, as long as you’re able to use your mobile phone to register online and then present your bar code. Reception staff won’t be able to do this for you on the day.

I'm a WWT member and have already provided an email address – can I get a free ticket to bring someone else along?

Yes, providing you enter a valid email address you will receive a free ticket.

I can’t see my local centre on the list of locations. Is there a limit?

To make sure your visit is as enjoyable as possible, we're limiting the number of free tickets available per centre. So make sure to grab yours quick.

1. The offer entitles any person with a valid email address to claim a free ticket for one person for one visit only during the offer period stated below:
2. This offer is valid on Friday 31 January, Saturday 1 February, Sunday 2 February, Monday 3 February, Tuesday 4 February, Wednesday 5 February, Thursday 6 February and Friday 7 February 2025. Due to high demand, a nominated day must be chosen upon booking.
3. The offer is valid at all WWT centres (please note that WWT Steart Marshes is free to enter so this offer is not required).
4. The offer only covers admission to the centre; visitors will be charged as usual for any additional ‘paid for’ experiences they wish to join on site.
5. Visitors wishing to use this offer must present a valid free ticket to the Admissions staff, having signed up and completed all necessary steps on the Sign-up page, in advance.
6. While it is possible for visitors to register for the offer on arrival, accessing the Sign Up page via their mobile phone, not all of our sites have a reliable mobile signal and unfortunately our staff cannot help you with this process, or allow free entry, unless you have a valid offer ticket.
7. We are unable to refund any tickets pre-booked online in relation to this offer. If you have already pre-booked and paid for a visit, admissions staff will be able to give you a complimentary ticket to come back for a free visit another day.
8. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
