Volunteer
We’re WWT, and we’re on a mission to restore the super-powered ecosystems we call wetlands. That work takes us where land meets water: at our 10 UK sites, and wetland areas that need us all over the world.
There’s never been a more important moment for our work, and we’ve got some phenomenal people on the case.
Whether they’re taking a new visitor under their wing, or conducting ground-breaking research further afield, our team are second to none. And there’s nothing we love more than watching them soar. That’s why we’re committed to giving every single person at WWT the support they need to flourish.
Volunteers overwhelmingly say they are proud to volunteer for WWT and would recommend it as a great place to volunteer. It means doing something meaningful, in a beautiful place with great people.
So, come surround yourself with the wonder of wetlands, and the people who inject their energy and passion into them. Whatever you do here, you’ll be helping to restore wetlands and unlock their power.
So, the only question left is, what role will you play?

If you are looking for student placement opportunities, we are delighted to announce that, for the first time, these will be paid positions. We want everyone to have the chance to access these opportunities and are proud to be taking this step in the right direction.
If you are looking for work experience, you can find out more about opportunities at our Slimbridge site here. Or please email workexperience@wwt.org.uk, letting us know what you are looking for and when, and where you are based. We are able to offer a limited number of opportunities across our sites and teams and will let you know whether we have something for you.
