Ibis roosted again

South Lake

The Glossy Ibis roosted until 0855am when it flew off toward the road fields/car park. It hadn't arrived back by 5.10pm.

Other species included up to 18 Ruff,  a few Redshank, 700 Lapwing, 11 Avocet, c100 Black-tailed Godwit, 30 Dunlin, Little Stint, 3 Oystercatcher, 9 Cormorant.

Rushy Hide

Two Little Stints reported midday, 120+ Bewick' Swans roosting.

Tack Piece

120 Golden Plover, 700 Lapwing, 10 Curlew, 29+ Ruff, 28 + Redshank, Spotted Redshank, 200 Dunlin, 500 Wigeon, 200 Teal, 100+ Pintail and the Bewick's Swan flock. Peregrine hunting over at the end of the day.

Willow Hide

2 Water Rail and Sparrowhawk.

Knott Hide

Little Grebe (trilling heard today as this species moves back into breeding territories)

Holden Tower

Five Cranes, female Kestrel, Peregrine, 2 Buzzards, Mistle and Song Thrush, Redwing, Linnet, Little Stint, 60 Lapwing, 400 Wigeon, Red-breasted Goose, 80_ Barnacle Geese all noted today.

Kingfisher Hide

117 E. White-fronted Geese, 6 Gadwall and Little Grebe.
