A few more White-fronts

Three Whooper Swans flew over heading South at dawn, the two Cattle Egret were in the roadside fields among the cattle herds.

Some new European (Russian) White-fronted Geese arrived today taking the total to nine, the newcomers were given a frosty reception by the four that've been present all week, everything settled down again and they all began grazing out on the  pasture together. At least 300 Wigeon and 400 Teal were also feeding here with 18 Curlew.

Rushy Hide

7 Ruff, a Redshank, a Snipe, 111 Shelduck, Little Grebe and 37 Lapwing were among the ever increasing numbers of wildfowl, Pochard and Pintail each numbered c40.

Holden Tower

Peregrine Falcon on the logs and the Red-breasted Goose was with the Barnacle Goose flock. 30+ Great Black-backed Gull were on the estuary.

71 Shelduck, 20 Snipe, 400 Teal, three Little Stints, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, a Redshank, 20 Ruff, 27 Curlew, 407 Dunlin, 274 Golden Plover and c300 Lapwing.

South Lake

A party of 15 Dunlin, 150 Lapwing, 87 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Avocet, 24 Shelduck, 38 Shoveler, 65 Tufted Duck, 90 Teal and a Great Crested Grebe.
