A wet start
It was a very wet start this morning with heavy downpours passing up the valley. Many of the birds kept a low profile until the weather cleared and the sun came out for the afternoon.
Rushy Hide
Sedge was sat through the rain this morning, looking rather miserable. She swapped with Monty once the sun came out and went to stretch her legs in the Ox Piece. You can watch the Cranes on our webcam here. Also on the Rushy were 6 Avocet, a pair of Oystercatcher.

Holden Tower
The bore was just coming through on this morning's hide round. On the river were a single Curlew and a pair of Shelduck. Another 61 Shelduck were on the Dumbles with 41 Avocet and a pair of Oystercatcher on the Dumbles scrape. A single Swallow was buzzing around the tower and 4 Sand Martin were trying their best to find food over the Tack Piece. Later in the morning high tide produced a flock of 28 Common Tern heading up the river and as the sun came out so did the with at least 6 Wheatear and 2 Whinchat present. A few Swift passed through, a couple of Yellow Wagtail flew over and 2 Little Egret dropped in on the Tack Piece.
