Around the reserve, Sunday April 16th
Wet and misty this morning, but should improve later. 100 Golden Plovers, largely in their spangled summer plumage brightened the greyness from The Avenue Tower earlier, with a few of the passage White Wagtails on view there too. 17 Black-tailed Godwits are on The Folly Pond, also showing breeding plumage, along with suddenly abundant Swallows. Barnacles remain in good nos. Though difficult to see through the murk they can be heard out on the merses
