Still good numbers of Shoveler (56) here but it was the good mixed flock of waders that were wowing everyone. Two pairs of Oystercatcher are now on territory and 10 newly arrived Avocets were resting with 123 Black tailed Godwit. Anything up to 1500 Lapwing are up and down from here with 50 Golden Plover a couiple of Snipe and an impressive 470 Dunlin with the one Little Stint among them. Ruff Redshank and a single Spotted Redshank have been seen flying around and are likely to settle here as they did yesterday.

A snipe was showing well through the hole in the wall and  a pair each of Bullfinch and Goldcrest were along the walkway. Around 350 Wigeon in the tack piece from the Robbie Garnett hide and another 150 close to the Holden. There were 210 Barnacle on the Dumbles and a scattering of Meadow Pipits and Skylark as well but no Lapland Bunting as yet despite lots of looking. The whole Whitefronted Goose flock (150) were "gritting " out on the estuary.
