Barnacles everywhere
Please be aware, the B725 is closed at Brow Well bridge. If you are visiting from the Carlisle/Annan direction you have to come via Dumfries. The bridge has suffered severe damage due to recent flooding and may be closed for a significant amount of time.
There are over 11,000 Barnacle Geese now on the reserve, with many of them feeding in our fields close to the hides.
Teal, Wigeon and Shoveler numbers are on the increase on the Folly Pond and Flood Ground, with Redshank and Black-tailed Godwit also on the Folly.
