Rushy Hide/Peng Observatory

16 Bewick's Swan present at dawn, a family has arrived, a pair named Ypres and Somme with three cygnets. Two Little Stint feeding on the top pond island.

Tack Piece

300 Wigeon, 200 Golden Plover, 30 Curlew, 200 Teal, 200 Lapwing.

South Lake

Little Stint, 120 Dunlin, Spotted Redshank, 4 Redshank, 110 Lapwing, 122 Black-tailed Godwit and Oystercatcher on the wader scrape.

Zeiss Hide

Very busy with 3000 birds on show this morning, the heavy overnight rain created lots of puddles for Teal to enjoy. 450 Wigeon also grazed the field/marshy ground. 30 Snipe, flocks of Dunlin, Golden Plover, Lapwing, a few Redshank. 33 Ruff were counted.

Kingfisher Hide

The E. White-fronted Geese were joined by the 8 (heavy build) Greylags. The Red-breasted Goose was among the Barnacle Geese. 37 Curlew were counted on the field.
