Bird Sightings

A good day on site with the fresh westerly and rain bringing in a few new birds, the best being a juvenile Osprey which flew through the site early afternoon and was escorted away by 2 Marsh Harriers!

Good numbers of waders on site with at least 20 Dunlin from Ron Barker, 2 Little Ringed Plover (ad + juv) also 25+ Ruff including 10+ juvs, a Greenshank appeared mid afternoon on Vinson's Marsh from Ron Barker Hide where the Kingfisher was showing as usual.

A good count of 108 Stock Dove around the edge of the Mere most of the day, also good numbers of Teal 240+ and Mallard building up on the Mere, as well as small numbers of Snipe 10+ around.
