Brief update for 30 June.

Please browse previous posts for the resident and breeding bird information, it is still relevant for today.

At least 10 Green Sandpiper were on site today, 8 viewable from the Robbie Garnett Hide.

A juvenile Common Sandpiper was fresh in on the South Lake wader scrape islands.

Highlights from the rounds were the eclipse plumage drake Garganey and a Reeve with 12 Redshank, all were viewable from the Zeiss Hide.

The estuary has seen an increase in Curlew, 141 were out on the mudflats at low tide along with 229 Shelduck.

The female Marsh Harrier is still on site and now in extensive wing moult.
