Britain's big CRANE revival on BBC1

The Slimbridge-reared cranes of the Great Crane Project take centre stage in the final episode of Britain’s Big Wildlife Revival this Sunday at 5.35pm on BBC1.

Presenter Ellie Harrison visited Slimbridge’s Crane School to see firsthand the careful rearing process that prevents the intelligent and socially-complex cranes from becoming tame.

There are now 66 cranes flying free over western Britain thanks to the Great Crane Project.

Also in this episode, Ellie visits WWT Arundel Wetland Centre, home to one of the few thriving populations of a British mammal in serious decline: the water vole.
