Sightings
A wet and windy day which didn't produce much, but a Yellow Wagtail over the Mere mid afternoon was a new bird for the year. A 2nd cal year Mediterranean Gull was around mid afternoon also Common Gull and Great black-backed Gull on the Mere. Lots of Avoce

Sightings update
South Lake A few Swifts and c30 House Martin feeding over the alder trees, the Black-headed Gull colony (mostly on deep lake islands) has 60-80 occupied nests. The wader scrape held a male Ruff in breeding plumage and 100+ Black-tailed Godwit as well as
