Sightings
Few reports but the highlight again was a Red Kite which flew over the reserve around midday, presumably the bird from a couple of days ago. The 1st sum/2nd cal year Little Gull is still frequenting the pools viewed from Ron Barker Hide. A flock of 3 Tern

Recent sightings - 28th May
The following sightings were recorded today at low tide. We are getting more and more evidences of newly hatched chicks all around the site, both in the water bodies and in the woodland, which are providing everybody with really beautiful sightings.

Avocet chicks keep hatching.
Avocets A real feature at the moment and we look set to have our best year ever. Around 50 adults on site and all seem to be either prospecting, incubating or protecting young. Getting difficult to keep track of all the broods but here go's. On the Rush

New brood of Oystercatchers
Rushy Great here this morning. A brood of 3 Oystercatchers were just a few meters in front of the hide, at least 12 young avocet including 5 almost fledged birds were all over the scrape with 14 adult birds, No sign of Med or Little Gull but keep lookin
