Some new migrants and arrivals

Kingfishers The pair at the Kingfisher hide are very active, food passes, periods in the nest hole and lots of mating suggest they are laying there first clutch. A second pair are nesting near the South Lake so watch out for birds passing in front of the

We finally saw a Swallow yesterday afternoon, and will hopefully have more appearing over the next few days. The sun is shining and the birds are in full song today. It's a fantastic day to enjoy some Spring weather and see Our Osprey nest is live on CCT

Mediterranean Gulls are among the 'star birds' on the reserve at the moment, with at least 5 on the Mere today. There have been at least 13 individually identifiable birds here in the last couple of weeks, and with the Black-headed Gulls at last starting

The first three Long-horn calves of the season has been born at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre, helping the Centre to traditionally manage the reserve. The calves, born from the 26 March, along with all the adults can be viewed from the Ron Barker hide. T
