Ospreys return!

Ospreys return!

The Caerlaverock ospreys have returned! Our regular pair arrived back on 7th April, two days earlier than last year. The female has a white ring, 'TR' and the male is unringed but we were able to identify him from the distinctive markings on his head.

We found a lot of new of new activity during our regular nestbox checks, and with many completed nests, it shouldn't be long before we get our first eggs. A really nice surprise was a Tawny Owl chick that was found in one of our boxes. British Steel Hide
