Two little egrest were showing nicely on the Folly pond this morning as was the cracking male brambling with the chaffinches on the feeder in the farmyard. 5,670 barnacle geese were counted from the tower with at least twice that in the Caerlaverock paris

Great grey shrike
A great grey shrike has been spotted in trees near the duckery/new sustainable garden area and in Close Encounters. This is only the second sighting on site, the first being in 1976!
