A windy high tide
Strong winds and a high tide this morning to bring bird into the hides. Zeiss Hide A little exposed in the strong winds but 450 Teal sheltering around the edges. Lots of lapwing around the fields with starling and a few Ruff maybe 25 mixed in with them.

Another bright and (so far) dry morning on the reserve. Plenty of Barnacle Geese around, on the merse and moving into the fields. The Redwings are still piling in, and there are plenty of berries on the Hawthorns on the trees for them. Listen out for the

Misty rain until midday then a brief gap in the weather before more cloud rolled in. At least 15000 Pink-footed Geese roosted on the reserve. Two Barnacle Geese came in around midday with the Pink-footed flocked. At least 55 Whooper Swan also roosted with
