The story from Martin Mere so far...
We’ve seen over 8,000 pink-footed geese arrive, and 50 whooper swans, which is less than last year due to the hot weather but numbers are now beginning to rise. We hope to see up to 2,000 whoopers by mid November.

Migration Watch update
I watched a peregrine falcon flying low over White Meadow, heading south, as I carried out this morning's fence check. A little owl was also sat watching me down at the river reedbed, perched in a dead tree.
