Trickle of Pink-feet
Rain showers moving through and fairly breezy westerly. Small numbers of newly arrived Pink-footed Geese were dropping in this morning with 150+ on the reserve, up from a count of 80 yesterday. By the end of the afternoon the flock was around 300.

Recent sightings 12 - 14th September
Millennium Wetlands Kingfisher again continue to be spotted on deep water lake daily, keep an eye out for them hunting in front of the Peter Scott Hide or on top of the water depth gauge in the lake. Also seen on deep water lake have been 5 Little Egret

The Saltcot Loaning has now reopened after essential hedge management work. This should prolong the life of the Hawthorns, they will now bush out to provide better habitat for breeding birds, allow more light in & keep the track drier during wet perio
