Latest Sightings - 30th December - wet and windy
As forecast, it is extremely wet and windy at the moment, with roads in the area beginning to flood. We are still opening as normal at 10am, but we will continue to assess the conditions throughout the day. Please take care if travelling around this area.

Green
All the 'greens' today, one being a regular winter visitor from North America the other is possibly the first record for WWT Martin Mere! Starting with the potential first! There were two sightings of a male Green Woodpecker along the edge of the reserve

Rushy Pen The area was spooked (not sure why) around 0930hrs so very few birds remained. Bewick's Swan- 71 present at 0815hrs. Most of the flock headed out to the Dumbles for the day. Egyptian Goose- 2 present early morning. Greater Scaup- female seen ear
