Geese numbers after the goose count
We started goose counts at the weekend to see the extent of the predicted decline of the pink-footed geese. These counts are nationally co-ordinated and the results in Lancashire are: Total: 77,683 Wyre estuary 7300 Cocker’s Dyke 2650 Pilling 29082

Flooding at WWT Martin mere
Last week wasnt such a good week for us here at WWT Martin mere we experienced a lot of flooding due to the heavy rain fall. We were flooded from Tuesday carrying on untill Saturday. It was the worse flood I have seen in 40 years. The local farmers said

Reserve webcam goes live!

Animal Magic success at Martin Mere

Help us to inspire a generation
100 years ago Captain Scott wrote one letter from Antarctica to his wife. This letter encouraged her to keep his son interested in nature. Years later Peter Scott established WWT and he inspired a generation. WWT have launched a 100 letters initiative.
