Come and say hi to WWT at outdoor shows this summer
BBC Countryfile Live
4-7 August, Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire
This will be huge - WWT will be one of over 500 exhibitors. Countryfile Live will be a truly unique event in the picturesque grounds of Blenheim Palace, combining the tradition of the UK’s best county fairs with stars from the show across four extraordinary days, perfect for all the family (and our four legged friends!).
Presenter Adam Henson said:
“Countryfile Live is for everyone. So if you're used to going to country and agricultural shows, you'll get all the things you'd expect from those, plus a few extras. And if you're not from the country and you've never held a chick or a lamb, now's your chance!”
To get a discount on admission, select 'WWT' from the special promotion dropdown list and use the promotion code SWAN.
Bristol Festival of Nature
11-12 June, Bristol Harbourside
Now in its thirteenth year, this is set to be the biggest Festival of Nature yet. 2016 has a watery theme. Come down to Bristol Harbourside and find us in the wetland zone – where else would we be!
RHS Hampton Court Flower Show
5-10 July, Hampton Court, Surrey
WWT’s Working Wetlands Garden will be a haven for wildlife and people and at the same time demonstrate how natural features can reduce flash flooding. As water passes through the cascading water feature it will be cleaned and filtered by soil and plants, then fill a wildlife pond. After heavy rain the pond will overflow into a series of mini-wetlands so that it doesn’t cause flooding elsewhere. The Working Wetland garden is designed by Jeni Cairns and supported by the HSBC Water Programme.
Look out for WWT at other events across the country including the RHS Malvern show and Rutland Birdfair - we love getting out and about as much as you do!
