Seen at WWT Slimbridge today, something that hasn’t happened in the South West of England for 400 years, Common Cranes nest building!
These birds, from the Great Crane Project are collecting reeds and building them into a nest, they have shown aggression towards other birds that approach the nest.
They may not be successful but these are promising signs from birds which are still quite young.
