Don't miss the geese.

It's looking great for the next week weather wise and ideal to catch big numbers of Pink-footed Geese currently spending time on the reserve.

Today at least 6000 birds have been 'loafing' around and in among those we have had a Tundra Bean Goose, European White-front and Barnacle Goose. Also with the Pink's were two orange legged Pink-footed Geese masquerading as Beans for the unwary and two sandy pale (leucistic) Pink-footed Geese.

Three Peregrine again, Marsh Harrier, 4 Common Buzzard, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk. A day flying Noctule Bat had a lucky escape when one of the Peregrine decided to try and see what it tasted like.

At least 500 Lapwing, 4 Ruff, 2 Black-tailed Godwit and some Snipe.

Nuthatch again by the in focus shop feeder, a few Coal Tit, 20+ Tree Sparrow. Treecreeper on the Nature Trail.
