Dunlin drops in
The cold weather brought a Dunlin to Arundel Wetland Centre. It was feeding right in front of the gallery windows. The dunlin is an unusual visitor to Arundel Wetland Centre as they are usually seen where there is exposed mud such as estuaries and on the river edges. Possibly this individual usual feeds at inland wetlands that have mostly now frozen over. The dunlin spent most of the Thursday morning going along the concrete edge of the Arun Riverlife Lagoon along with a water rail and grey wagtail.
