Entries come flooding in for WWT Photography Competition 2011-12
Talented photographers from across the region have begun sending in their spectacular entries for the WWT Photography Competition 2011-2012.
With an amazing grand prize of a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Antarctica up for grabs, the competition is being held in association with Canon and in celebration of the Scott Antarctic Expedition Centenary.
WWT’s founder, the late Sir Peter Scott, was the only son of Captain Robert Falcon Scott, who perished on the ill-fated Terra Nova expedition to Antarctica almost 100 years ago.
Running across 12 months, the competition has multiple categories with four seasonal heats, to be held regionally at each of WWT’s nine wetland wildlife centres - including WWT Washington.
The deadline for the current heat is Wednesday 30 November. For further details about prizes, categories and to enter, please visit www.wwt.org.uk/photo
