Fantastic Floods
Fantastic bird watching today especially from the hides to the Holden Tower. The heavy rain has caused extensive flooding and attracted large numbers of waders and wildfowl to the Tack Piece field. It was spectacular days like this in this field that prompted Peter Scott to describe it as "a veritable avian serengetti". If you need an exscuse to visit now is the time.
