Foggy morning, limited sightings

A misty start hampered the hide rounds so we won't have too much to report, work continues in the Rushy Pen and Robbie Garnett, Stephen Kirk and Knott Hides so a bit of disturbance is likely, these areas are a bit quiet at the moment anyway.

South Lake

The adult Spotted Redshank was with 8 Redshank, 280 Black-tailed Godwit and a few Snipe on the wader scrape. Four Pochard, the Pintail x Red crested Pochard and 60 Tufted Duck were on deep lake.

Zeiss Hide/Top New Piece

No sighting of the Pectoral Sandpiper so far but it may be feeding in vegetation or visiting the scrape over the high tide period, this is after midday so it may be worth looking then. 5 Ruff, 10 Redshank and 7 Snipe were on the flood with 8 Dunlin and the Lapwing flock. 500 Wigeon and 600 Teal were on the floods.

We could only see the bushes below where 2 Reed Bunting, 1 Blackcap and a couple of Goldcrest were the highlights.
