Garganey still on Folly

Well it looks like the drake Garganey is making himself at home on our Folly Pond, back again this morning. Still a few Black-tailed Godwits remaining too, looking lovely in their breeding plumage, and good numbers of Shelduck. There were reports yesterday that the Lapwing present in the surrounding field had hatched out a brood of chicks with four observed so keep your eyes peeled for that. The Flood Ground is also looking good with Black-headed Gulls and Oystercatcher making use of the rafts (the same raft in one instance!). Four drake Gadwall are present along with Mallard, a drake Wigeon, a drake Shoveler and one Barnacle Goose out in the field!
