Here is a run down of species spotted around the Arundel site this morning.
RESERVE; Nuthatch, Blue/ Great/ Long tailed & Coal tit, Buzzard, Pheasant, 3 Gold crest, (throughout the central area of the Reed bed), Kingfishers, Dunnock, Grey wagtail, 1 Oyster catcher (flitting between the main hides), Water rail, Water voles, Goldfinch, Black bird, Robin, Collared dove, Chaffinch, Wren, Mallard, Mute swan, Coot & Moorhen.
LAPWING HIDE; Wood pigeon, Lapwing, Teal, Coot, Canada geese, Sparrow hawk.
RAMSAR & SAND MARTIN HIDES; 1 Wigeon, Shoveler, Teal, Shelduck, Lapwing, Canada geese, Gulls - Herring, Black headed & Common.
SCRAPE HIDE; Grey heron, Shelduck, Water rail, Canada geese, Teal, Snipe.
WETLANDS DISCOVERY; Grey lag & Canada geese, cormorant, Kingfisher, Tufted duck, Pochard, Mute swans.
