Green woodpecker & house martins
Today’s sun brought another 50+ house martins through the site on their southward migration.
A green woodpecker has been onsite this week as well, usually around Wetland Discovery and the old Tundra pen. A kingfisher has been showing best a Scrape hide and our favourite peregrine is still around, too.
Work started this week on the Arun Lagoon project at the Sand Martin hide. Next week this will likely scare the birds off this water so try the reebdbed and Scrape hides but pop in to see how the project is going. It will be finished by November re-establishing the islands in front of the hides. You can read more about the project HERE.
