Have you seen this naughty duck!?
A gang of GIANT ducks will be landing at WWT Washington Wetland Centre this Easter – and we need your children’s help to find them all!
The GIANT rubber duck hunt takes place during Easter weekend (Fri 3-Mon 6 April) and is just one of the many fun family activities on offer throughout the school holidays (Fri 3-Sun 19 April).
Join the mission to track down our GIANT yellow visitors by picking up a tick sheet on arrival and setting off around our wetland and woodlands, using all your best hide-and-seek skills to find them in return for a chocolatey treat.
Plus, take a silly selfie with our 6ft inflatable duck and share it with us on Facebook www.facebook.com/wwtwashington or Twitter @WWTWashington #GIANTduck during the Easter holidays to win a prize (two winners announced Monday 20 April via social media).
Leanne McCormella from WWT Washington said: “Our wardens are great at spotting all the baby ducklings, goslings and cygnets waddling around our wetland nature reserves each spring. But for some reason they keep missing these cheeky GIANT yellow ducks – so we really need your help to find them!”
New life and nature is blooming all around right now and WWT Washington is the perfect place to enjoy it, with unforgettable close-up wetland encounters and enough activities to keep everyone entertained.
Pond-dip for watery creatures or build a bug hotel at Easter. Meet incredible wetland wildlife including otters and flamingos every day. Or take part in events like warden walks around our collection birds and wildlife reserve.
Open 364 days a year, we’re an award-winning wetland nature reserve with 45 hectares of wildlife-filled wetlands, meadows and woodlands to explore. Plus regular activities, accessible pathways, family-friendly facilities, a waterside cafe, gift shop and wet adventure play area.
We hope to see you soon!
