Insects in abundance

This weekend the insect life is taking centre stage, we do still have some interesting birds on site with cranes, dunlin and green sandpiper yesterday but there are insects everywhere!  Our next moth catch will be tonight with the moths caught, on show tomorrow morning 9.30-10.30am in the visitor centre.

Cinnabar moth - Summer walk

Beetles:
Longhorn beetles near the pond dipping stations

Grasshoppers and bush crickets can now be heard in the long vegetation at the ditch edges.
