Kingfisher and winter thrushes
A kingfisher was showing well from the Scrape this past week. It can be spotted around the site. (photos above by visitor Alec Pelling on Sat 25 Nov).
Sightings of redwings, mistle thrush, song thrush, goldcrest, firecrest and black caps as well as mixed tit flocks on the feeders. Still hearing blasts from Cetti's warblers around the site.
Decent sized lapwing flocks in the mornings - 36 this morning (Wed 29 Nov).
Big numbers of greylag geese (74 on Sat 25 Nov), Canada geese too with a couple of Egyptian geese around as well.

Sand martin & Ramsar hides: 36 lapwing, 4 shelducks, 14 snipe

Ramsar and Sand martin hides: 31 lapwing, 8 shelducks, 3 pochard, 31 Canada geese, 6 shovelers, 42 black-headed gulls, 3 moorhen, 5 coots, 27 snipe, 21 mallards, 66 greylag goose, 2 gadwall, 2 cormorant, 1 wren, 1 Cetti’s warbler, 10 teal, 2 Egyptian Geese
Sand martin hide and Wildlife garden: 1 chaffinch, 3 redwings
Scrape hide: 1 kingfisher
Arun Riverlife Lagoon: 1 song thrush, 1 grey wagtail.

Ramsar and Sand martin hides: 1 pochard, 3 shelducks, 4 snipe, 35 lapwing, 5 teal, 2 gadwall, and 8 shoveler
Scrape hide: 2 gadwall, 2 teal
Long path: 1 coal tit, 1 gold crest
Arun Riverlife: 5 blackbirds, 1 grey wagtail.
