Lapwing flock to Ramsar islands
Lapwing numbers are up with c250 in on Wednesday morning on the islands between the Sand Martin and Ramsar hides. Our outdoor teams flushed up 72 snipe while working on the wet grassland Wednesday as well.

Ramsar hide: 5 snipe, 2 cattle egret, 61 lapwing, 3 teal, 2 pochard, 3 cormorants,
Scrape hide: 1 little egret, 5 teal
Reedned: 10 blue tits, 3 great tits, 7 mallards, 1 backbird, 7 long-tailed tits, 2 coots, 1 goldcrest, 1 moor hen, 1 reed bunting
Woodloop: 1 greenfinch

Ramsar hide: 11 snipe, 250 lapwing, 5 wigeon, and 5 wigeon
Scrape hide: 26 mallards, 7 snipe, 2 shelducks, 6 gadwall, and 16 shoveler
Wet grassland: 72 snipe, startled.
