Lapwing on the Folly Pond
Good numbers of Lapwing on the Folly Pond this morning. The Shoveler numbers are also on the increase and a solitary Black-tailed Godwit is present feeding in the water. The Marsh Harrier that has been observed around the Reserve last week is originally from Norfolk. The sighting at Caerlaverock is the first record of her since June. Do keep your eyes peeled when visiting as the increasing duck numbers on Folly Pond and the Flood Ground will act as a draw to her.
Unfortunately the Pasture Pathway remains closed. The Meadow and River Walks are now closed for the Season.
