Latest Sightings
14 avocets have been seen on the back of the mere this week, as well as 700 black-tailed godwits (some starting to show their breeding plumage!) visible from Discovery Hide.
Ron Barker hide has been showing kingfishers fairly regularly this week, along with glimpses of some of our resident barn owls. Additionally some oystercatchers have been nest-scraping nearby, they can be seen to the right-hand side of Ron Barker hide.
Plenty of great tits, blue tits, and goldfinches are still showing at the feeders at Janet Kear hide, along with the occasional greater spotted woodpecker.
