Latest Sightings

Today we saw two new spring arrivals;

A Spotted Flycatcher was first heard on the Avenue and later relocated on the Back Bank on The Meadow. Last year this species bred on the reserve but usually we only tend to get passage birds.
A Common Sandpiper was also seen near by, with it seen flying off the Whooper Pond this morning and later relocated onto the Folly Pond. This again was the first bird for the spring and we tend to only get the odd individual during spring.
