Latest Sightings

It looks like it is going to be good weather today and over the next couple of days. Already, we have had lots of sightings.

2 teal have been seen from our Discovery hide, along with Lapwings, Cormorants, and a transient visitor, the Pectoral Sandpiper, which was spotted yesterday.

At Ron Barker hide, there has been 4 Little Ringed Plover, a Bittern was seen flying, and the Kingfisher has been spotted regularly over the last few days.

At Gordon Taylor Hide; 10 Curlew Sandpiper, a large group of Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Wigeon in eclipse plumage, a shoveler, along with a large number of Greylag and Canada Geese, 13 Pink Footed Geese and an additional 17 seen on Plover Field.

On Doehyles, 2 Greenshank, 1 Redshank, Snipe, 6 Green Sandpiper, Ruff, 1 Great White Egret, 28 Cattle Egret, a Little Egret and Little Grebe were seen.

An Osprey has currently been spotted at Gordon Taylor Hide.
