Latest Sightings

Another great day for bird watching with 39 Whooper Swans seen on the Mere.

2,830 Pink-footed Geese were sighted in our dawn count this morning along with 150 Greylag Geese and the Snow Goose.

Wigeon, Pochard, Pintail and Shelduck can be seen on the Mere from Discovery Hide. Marsh Harriers and a Kestrel were seen hunting at the back of the Mere, from Rees Hide across to Ron Barker Hide.15 Cattle Egret are to be seen following the cattle.

At Hale Hide, a Great White Egret has been seen regularly. The Kingfisher has been showing well and a Stonechat was spotted at Ron Barker Hide.
