The Wetland Bird Survey (WeBs) is a monthly count which aims to provide data to support the conservation and monitoring of wetland bird species. Here are the results from today:

9 Marsh Harrier, 1 Kestrel and 1 Buzzard were observed today from the Ron Barker, Harrier and Discovery hides.
Over the weekend, 2 Great White Egret, 1 Sparrowhawk and 1 Raven were seen on the back of the Mere.
1 Water Rail was spotted on the path to Janet Kear hide, where 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker has been showing well.
On the nature trail, Wren, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Dunnock, Goldfinch, Redwing and House Sparrows have been observed. Reed Bunting were seen outside Ron Barker hide. 1 Grey Wagtail and 2 Ringed Plover were seen from Gordon Taylor hide.
