Compiled from past two days. Warm on Sunday chiller and over cast on Monday after early rain.
A Greenshank was present this afternoon. The Ruff numbers crept up to 5 birds and a count of 14 Little Ringed Plover on Sunday was good for this reserve. Other waders included 220 Black-tailed Godwit, 150+ Lapwing, 2 Avocet, 6 Redshank, 3 Dunlin, Ringed Plover and Common Sandpiper.
Two Marsh Harrier on Sunday including a fine adult male, Peregrine, 4 Kestrel, 3 Common Buzzard and Sparrowhawk. Barn Owl early doors today.
Little Gull 2s out on Woodend Marsh this morning
Seven Common Tern including a fledged juvenile not from the reserve.
Seven Grey Heron from the Ron Barker Hide.
A Hummingbird Hawkmoth was seen along the Naturetrail feeding on Buddleia. Gatekeeper butterfly on the Reedbed Walk also Black-tailed Skimmer there.
Call in at the in focus shop by the Discovery Hide to report any sightings or to get an idea were to go on the reserve.
