Café kitchen closure

From 8–17 September, our café kitchen will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, our front-of-house will remain open, offering a selection of cakes and ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks. You will also be able to visit our kiosks by the play areas.

Little Stint

Rain moved through early on followed by a brisk wind and sunshine. A Little Stint (same bird from Sunday?) was on the Mere briefly before being flushed by geese. It was later at the back of Sunley's Marsh.

Other waders included Greenshank, Green Sandpiper, Dunlin, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 10+ Ruff, 30+ Snipe and 500+ Lapwing.

A few thousand Pink-footed Geese came in mid afternoon onto Sumley's Marsh including an orange legged individual.

Raptors; 2 Peregrine (ad male and juv male), 3 juv Marsh Harrier, 3+ Buzzard, 2 Kestrel and 2 Sparrowhawk.
