Long-billed dowitcher

Highlight for today is the long-billed dowitcher which is currently at the back of the mere amongst the -black-tailed godwits, ruff and lapwing. The Marshside bird hasn't been seen today so we assume this bird has come here fingers crossed it stays. We still have lots of mud exposed on the mere there are now 500 lapwing, 12 ruff, 6 green sandpipers and 2 common sandpipers. The sandpipers are showing well infront of the screens which is great for photos.

Lots of butterflies out on the buddlia, red admirals, small tortoiseshells, peacocks and skippers.

Treesparrows have just fledged their third broods and they are on the feeders by raines
