Lost Cygnet !

Only the lone Bewick`s Swan Cygnet on the pond this morning, Still a good number of Duck including 60 Pintail, 80 Tufted Duck and 36 Pochard.

South lake

High water levels after yesterdays rain, a dense flock of 203 Black Tailed Godwit were roosting here along with 21 Avocet, 2 Redshank and 33 Dunlin. Watch out for the Spotted Redshank and Little Stint both of which have been popping up here over the last few days, Best views are often from the Hogarth Hide.
There were at least 77 Shoveler scattered through the lake and scrapes.

South Finger

A big immature Peregrine Falcon was dominating the scene here this morning but despite this there were still 300 Wigeon and 70 Teal scattered. Two Reed Buntings were chasing each other and a Cettis was singing close to the Zeiss Hide. A Little Grebe was in front of the Kingfisher Hide, a single Little Egret at the back of the field and a water Rail ran across  the track here as well. Several small groups of Snipe were flushed by Crows and then the peregrine, 11 in total but anyone's guess how many are hidden across these fields. A male Sparrowhawk was hunting in the reed-bed.

Just a little quieter every day but the full 161 Whitefronted Goose flock are still here along with 300 Wigeon, a very fine 17 Curlew and 3 Cranes. The Water Rail was showing along with a range of garden Birds at the Willow Hide. There were at least 2 Buzzards to the north.
